What are SDGs and How to adopt them in your strategy?
A very brief online course providing basic knowledge on the relationship between ISO standards and Sustainable Development Goals.
The Sustainable Development Goals or the SDGs as they are commonly known were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure all people enjoy peace and prosperity. There are 17 SDGs in total.
This course is designed to provide the necessary foundation knowledge on how ISO standards contribute to manage Sustainable Development Goals or the SDGs.

- Understand the brief history of SDGs;
- Explain all 17 SDGs;
- Understand the current progress, challenges and ways to track the progress around SDGs;
- Elaborate on the roles and responsibilities people, society, governments and businesses have or can have around SDGs;
- Select and use the most appropriate SDGs for an organization;
- Explain management systems and ISO Standards;
- Understand how management systems help in achieving progress towards a goal or a specific SDG.
