Objectives

On completion, participants will have the knowledge and skills to:

  • Explain the purpose and business benefits of Artificial Intelligence management system standards, management system audits, and third-party certification.
  • Explain the role of an auditor in planning, conducting, reporting, and following up on an Artificial Intelligence management system audit, and establishing conformity (or otherwise) with ISO/IEC 42001 in accordance with ISO 19011 (and ISO 17021 & ISO/IEC DIS 42006:2023 where appropriate).

Pre-requisites

For successful completion of this course, it is expected that you have prior knowledge of the following management principles and concepts:

  • The PDCA cycle;
  • Artificial Intelligence management system;
  • Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 42001 and the commonly used Artificial Intelligence management system terms and definitions, as given in ISO/IEC 22989:2022, which may be gained by completing a Foundation training course in ISO 42001:2022.
