ISO 20121: Sustainable Events Management System Introduction Course

Sustainability has become the most focused topic over the recent years for many companies as it is an important competitive differentiator. In particular, when organizing events, sustainable event management offers numerous benefits ranging from economic efficiency to improving reputation and demonstrating social responsibility to their stakeholders.
A key guide for planning and managing sustainable events is provided by the ISO 20121:2024 standard. The standard, born out of the needs of the 2012 London Olympics, made sustainability one of the most important factors. The current 2024 revision of the standard, defines the requirements for a sustainability management system for events, representing a more systematic & structured approach leading to continual improvement in event sustainability.

- the structure of ISO 20121:2024;
- methods outlined by ISO 20121:2024 for continual improvement in event sustainability.
