ISO 19443:2018 - Auditor Conversion Training Course

This training aims to equip attendees with a practical understanding of how to audit the requirements of ISO 19443.

ISO 19443:2018 sets out the requirements for the application of ISO 9001:2015 in the nuclear supply chain for organizations supplying products and services important to nuclear safety (ITNS).

ISO 19443 covers ISO 9001 clauses in full and sets out additional requirements specific to the nuclear sector.

This course is designed to provide trained Quality auditors with the understanding and knowledge to conduct audits against the requirements of ISO 19443 within the nuclear supply chain.

The core topics of the course include the relationship of ISO 19443 to ISO 9001, the additional quality principles of ISO 19443, and the auditing of ISO 19443 and NQA-1 requirements, which encompass nuclear safety culture, important to nuclear safety (ITNS) items, a graded approach to quality, and the management of counterfeit, fraudulent, or suspect items (CSFI).

Objective:

On completion of this course, participants will have the knowledge and skills to:

  • Explain nuclear terms, definitions and quality principles set out in ISO 19443;
  • Explain the requirements of ISO 19443 additional to ISO 9001;
  • Understand how to audit the additional requirements within a QMS/IMS, including NQA-1;
  • Understand the quality requirements of RCC-M.

Audience:

This course is suitable for all existing ISO auditors who intend to perform audits to ISO 19443.
