Internal Auditor Training for Food Safety Standards

A two-day course designed to provide an understanding on how to plan, conduct, and report internal audits of a food safety management system.

This course equips you with the essential techniques and tools to assess the effectiveness of your organization's food safety management system. You'll gain a deep understanding of how to implement, maintain, and continuously improve these systems.

The course emphasizes the development of auditing skills, focusing on the audit process, the auditor's role, and the mindset required for quality and food safety standards in an audit context. The theoretical part of the course is based on the  ISO 19011 guidelines and encompasses key standards including IFS, BRC, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, GMP+, RSPO, ASC, and MSC COC.

Objective:

The course trainers are Lead Auditors with extensive expertise in management systems and years of hands-on experience auditing quality and food safety management systems.

Upon successful completion, attendees will have gained an understanding of:

  • basic principles of quality management, food safety and the management system;
  • Compliance with legislation, customer requirements and food safety;
  • Risk-based audit planning;
  • Process orientation;
  • Audit based on ISO 19011 and quality and food safety requirements;
  • The human aspects of auditing;
  • Audit preparation, execution, reporting and follow-up;
  • How to identify deviations and improvements and work on corrective actions;
  • Internal audit as a management tool.

Prerequisites:

Participants are encouraged to have a foundational understanding of food safety principles before attending this course.
