IFS Food version 8 - Internal Auditor Course

A two-day course covering the subject of internal auditing in accordance with version 8 of the IFS Food Standard.

This course based on version 8 of the IFS Food Standard, which is an international standard for assessing product and process compliance in relation to food safety and quality. It will explain the audit objectives and preparation of an internal audit, risk-based audit planning as well as audit methods, how to elaborate a report, and how to implement improvement measures.

It will focus on the main changes in IFS v8 and will include case studies.

Objective:

At the end of the course, attendees should have an understanding of auditing a food safety management system based on V8 of the IFS Food Standard and in particular of

  • Internal audits and good auditing practices from the IFS perspective;
  • Risk-based audit, audit trial, audit objectives and preparation;
  • IFS Food v.8 standard – Scoring: Deviations and non-conformities;
  • Completion of the audit: Writing of the audit report, and action plan.

This course is recommended for anyone who is planning to perform internal audits/preparing as per IFS Food Standard v8.
