FSSC 24000 Internal Auditor Training Course

This 16-hour training prepares individuals to join internal audit teams in the manufacturing and processing sectors, ensuring compliance with FSSC 24000, PAS 24000, and the organization's social management system (SMS) requirements.

As described by the FSSC Foundation, certification as per FSSC 24000 scheme ensures organizations provide safe and fair working conditions, meet business ethics requirements, and apply due diligence in their supply chain management.

The FSSC 24000 certification scheme outlines the requirements for the Social Management Scheme (SMS) of an organization. The scheme is based on the following documents:

• BSI/PAS 24000:2022-Social Management System;
• FSSC 24000 Additional requirements.

This 16 hours training is aimed at persons wishing to become members of internal audit teams of organizations in the manufacturing and processing sector (food and non-food), including their related service provision to comply with internal audit requirements within FSSC 24000, PAS 24000, and organization’s own requirements for its social management system (SMS). 

Objective:

After successful completion of the course, attendees will have gained an understanding of:

• Areas to be internally audited in preparation for FSSC 24000 certification and the internal SMS compliance;
• Principles & Techniques of Auditing as per ISO17021;
• Roles and responsibilities of an internal auditor, understand what is required to plan an internal audit, set up an internal audit system based on the requirements of FSSC 24000 certification scheme;
• Writing clear non-conformances and internal audit reports, suggesting corrective actions and verifications of corrective actions.

Pre-requisites:

Delegates are expected to have a good knowledge of FSSC 24000 and the key principles of BSI/PAS 24000. If you take part at this course to become an SMS Internal auditor, it is mandatory that you (lead auditors and auditors) have completed FSSC 24000 scheme training covering at least the BSI/PAS 24000 requirements (incl. Annex A) and the FSSC Additional Requirements – minimum 8 hours.

Audience:

This course is primarily designed to provide the auditing knowledge & skills required to qualify attendees as SMS internal auditors based on the FSSC 24000 and other SMS schemes.

In addition, the course is aimed at Supervisors, Managers, and HR personnel or team members of Social Management Systems to improve their current knowledge related to social audits and thereby contribute to continuously improve their SMS through use of internal audits.
