Floating solar training course
A one day introductory floating solar course covering the basics of the market, technology and costs of floating PV.
In the next four years, floating photovoltaic (FPV) will likely grow significantly as the overall global PV capacity doubles. Although FPV concepts are being developed and improved, progress in areas such as reducing evaporation from covered water, infrastructure availability for different locations and spatial synergies with other industries such as offshore wind or aquaculture means that floating PV, both on inland water bodies and offshore, is gaining advantages in an expanding renewables landscape.
In this course you will get introduced to the FPV market and costs, and get acquainted with the range of technical concepts and solutions for FPV. We will assess energy production aspects and have a look at challenges in design and operation.
Subjects:
- Floating PV market
- Floating PV technology
- FPV Energy production assessment
- Standardisation of FPV technology
- Challenges in design and operation
- FPV Project costs
Who should attend?
This course is designed for anyone who is relatively new to the field of floating solar and who wants to obtain certain basic technical and commercial insights about floating solar. The typical audience includes project developers, owners, financial institutions, utilities, and governmental organisations.
On request, the Energy Academy can provide an in-company training course (content, location and duration can be adapted to your specific wishes). Please contact us for more information.
