CA-01 Cascade administrator training

This is a comprehensive live, online course for Cascade users responsible for managing the configuration of Cascade for asset management, inspections and maintenance programs, and user access.

Description

This is a comprehensive course for Cascade users responsible for managing the configuration of Cascade for asset management, inspections and maintenance programs, and user access. The training is specifically designed around the Cascade v4 web app.

Note: Users seeking Cascade v3 administrator training should request private training or contact their account manager.

Learning objectives

Cascade, maintenance and asset performance management software, is customer-configurable with Cascade Setup, allowing for flexibility in configuring specific details of the system to work with your utility operations and workflows. Understanding the configuration options and the entire system from setup to end-user allows your utility to manage your day-to-day operations, leverage relevant data, and monitor your ongoing maintenance program, enabling time-based, conditional and/or risk-based maintenance for regulatory compliance and asset management strategies.

Target group

Users and system administrators responsible for managing the system configuration to match your needs on an operational basis, as well as IT professionals who support the Cascade administration team. Attendees of the Cascade administrator training may include subject matter experts (SMEs) for detailed knowledge on specific assets, such as transformers, circuit breakers, protective devices, line devices, etc. This group may also be trainers for other end users within the utility, so it is critical that they understand both the configuration and the general behavior and operation of the Cascade system.

The following topics are covered:

  • Cascade v4 system navigation overview
  • Navigator configuration and access for locations and assets
  • User access, security, and authorization controls
  • Configuration of location/position, assets, and employees
  • Inspection definitions and form development
  • Maintenance program configuration of procedures and trigger events
  • Formula builder for criticality/health/risk, calculated attributes, and inspection validation rules
  • High level overview of optional diagnostic interfaces available with Cascade: Doble Test Assistant, Transformer Oil Analysis, Thermography images, and Excel forms
  • General Q&A and other topics may be added, as relevant and where time allows.
