AQAP NATO Quality Standards Basic Course

A one-day course providing an overview, insight, and understanding of the AQAP NATO standards requirements.

Is your company a supplier to the Danish Defense or do you plan to become one? Then you will most likely be required to obtain AQAP certification by NATO defense organizations. In other words, if you supply to the Danish Defense, you must be able to document that you have a management system that meets the requirements of Allied Quality Assurance Publication/AQAP, which are NATO's standards for quality management.

AQAP is the name of the NATO standards developed to ensure the quality of services and products for the defense industry. The AQAP standards aim to establish requirements for defense quality assurance while defining NATO's quality requirements for global suppliers and their supply chains. When implemented correctly, these requirements provide assurance that the supplier can deliver in accordance with customer requirements and expectations.

This course focuses on the requirements of the AQAP standard and gives you an overview, insight and understanding of the requirements so that after the course you are able to document compliance with the requirements in specific projects or to build a management system based on the AQAP requirements for certification.

Objective:

During the course, we interpret all the requirements in AQAP, so that after the course you will have a good basic understanding of how the requirements can be put into practice in your own organization. After the course, you will have a good overview of the AQAP series' essential documents and the most common standards, AQAP-2110 and AQAP-2310.

After the completion of the course, you will have:

• An overview of the structure, content, and requirements of the AQAP standards, especially AQAP-2110 and AQAP-2310;
• An insight into the AQAP series key documents;
• Knowledge of how the requirements of the AQAP standards are implemented in your processes and/or system;
• An understanding of roles and collaboration in FMI and NATO projects (subcontracting);
• An insight into what it takes to get certified.

Pre-requisites:

For successful completion of this course, knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements is a prerequisite for participation in the course, as this course focuses on the AQAP additional requirements.

Audience:

This course is suitable for:

• All employees involved in quality management, with a special focus on quality professionals designated as their organization's management representative responsible for AQAP GQA (Government Quality Assurance) issues.
• All employees involved in deliveries to the Danish Defense (parts for ships, aircraft, army, etc.). Especially project managers and quality employees should make sure they are familiar with AQAP.
• Others with an interest in quality management related to deliveries to Defense.
