Qualitative Risk Assessments

Qualitative risk assessments utilize Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to define risk in terms of the severity of its impact (Consequence of Failure or CoF) and the likelihood of its occurrence (Likelihood of Failure or LoF). Levels of impact (CoF) and likelihood (LoF) are combined into a risk matrix to obtain a measurement of a risk's severity level.

Company Threats

Synergi Pipeline enables you to configure company threats and sub-threats that are used for QRA, threat assessment and master activity planning. When QRA and threat assessments are performed on lines or sections, you can designate the active threats on the line or section from configured company threats and sub-threats. When you add a master activity plan template, the configured threats are available for selection.

Threat Assessment

SME Threat assessments establish the threat credibility for a pipeline or a pipeline section. Section assessments are performed on a section’s active threats. Synergi Pipeline calculates the resulting risk for each segment based on the qualitative risk assessment risk matrix.
