EV charging protocol testing: OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 certification
DNV’s independent testing and verification services help you provide the quality and interoperability of your OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 charging station and charging stations management system solutions.
Prove the quality and interoperability of your OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 implementation in your electrical vehicle charging station and EV charging stations management system solutions.
As the Electric Vehicle market is rapidly growing, charge point operators are looking to expand their infrastructure to supply the future EV demand. The OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 standard (Open Charge Point Protocol) enables the integration between equipment from different manufacturers. OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1-compliant systems are particularly attractive to charge point operators looking to maximize reliability, interoperability and scalability in their networks.
Open Charge Alliance is an affiliated organisation of ElaadNL and is a global association of electric vehicle infrastructure leaders promoting open standards. Working Groups develop and maintain the open standards and determine test procedures for certification. DNV has been assigned as one of the independent certification laboratories by the Open Charge Alliance.
OCPP 2.0.1
As of June 2023 OCPP 2.0.1 certification for core and advanced security is available. The support of the other functional blocks will follow. New features of the OCPP 2.0.1 are:
- Device management
- Scalable transaction handling
- Enhanced security
- Advanced smart charging
- Plug and charge
- Mulitple authorization methods
Expert guidance brings market success
As part of a broad portfolio of data communication protocol services, DNV offers independent OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 conformance testing. This helps you to prove the quality and interoperability of your charging station and charging stations management system solutions. In addition, it allows you to solve any compliance issue during development. As a result, charge point operators can implement your OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1-based solution without additional risk. We assure that your products are tested efficiently and effectively. Based on a predefined process and test plan, we work with you to customize it for your product/system covering the required technical specifications. Subsequently, our highly skilled engineers perform the agreed services at our state-of-the-art laboratories, or at a location of your choice. After testing, we provide you with a complete test report. If any tests are failed, you will receive additional information to shine a light on the root cause of the issue(s). You can also call on our support and experience to achieve full compliance.
