Alert is an online, plant-wide, remote monitoring system enabling operators to manage their maintenance, performance, emissions, reliability and energy, leading to optimized operation, increasing production output whilst reducing unexpected failures and downtime.
Early warning and the ability to “act fast” on developing problems can save $ Millions in maintenance and operating revenue.
Developed in house it contains hundreds of years accumulated knowledge of DNV equipment experts. The flexible solution architecture supports cloud based or client-side implementation allowing flexibility in Digitalization programs. DNV can provide the end to end solution including on site system integration and cloud data ingestion and deployment.
Functional modules
Condition and performance
Machinery sensor data is collected real-time, multi parameter asset condition and performance baselines are configured enabling the actual data to be compared with the modelled expected values, baseline deviations can be monitored, and alarms set to give early warning of equipment degradation. Deviation alarms give a much earlier warning of a developing problem than usual simple parameter level alarm.
Emissions
DNV has been supplying emissions monitoring solutions to operators of gas turbines for 20 years, the solution meets the requirements of UKEA, SEPA and USEPA. Emissions monitoring solutions can be stack mounted Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM) or Predictive Emissions Monitoring (PEM) for machines under 100MW net thermal input. Our engineered solutions are calibrated to traceable standards and meet the requirements for different global locations, our emissions experts understand the information you need to report to your local environment agency.
Energy management
Energy management is the key to efficient operation of any plant, after feed stock, energy is the number one cost in any production or process plant. Knowing and understanding what energy is being used and tracking this against expected consumption is the best way of managing plant operational efficiency and emissions, if you reduce energy usage you reduce emissions, costs and increase output performance. DNV energy management solution is a real-time energy tracker which monitors and trends all consumers of energy in your plant, including, gas turbines, steam turbines, electric motors, boilers, steam generators, fans, coolers, heat exchangers etc.
Real-time reliability
Asset reliability is directly linked to production output of any plant, be it an off-shore platform, terminal, gas transmission or power station. Understanding the current reliability and how different pieces of plant interact is the key to good maintenance planning and production optimization. Real time asset reliability tracking enables areas of plant which require maintenance can be identified and changes to maintenance can be tracked to see what improvements have been effective, thus assisting investment decisions and the planning of maintenance to minimize production losses.
