This recommended practice (RP) provides design recommendations for flat steel plate structures intended for marine applications.
The guidelines in this recommended practice are based on the load and resistance factor design (LRFD) format and may be used where applicable to complement structural assessments using DNV-OS-C101.
The objective of this recommended practice is to provide a design-based approach and guidance for the buckling assessment of flat steel plate structures, with the aim of achieving adequate safety against failure.
