DNV joins the Australian Hydrogen Council as its latest member
DNV announced today that it has joined the Australian Hydrogen Council (AHC) as a tier 1, executive member.
The company will collaborate with AHC members on issues critical to the development of the local and global hydrogen industry.
With companies operating across the entire hydrogen value chain, the AHC represents the emerging hydrogen industry in Australia, connecting technology and service providers, developers, investors and government agencies to increase collaboration among its stakeholders and accelerate the commercialization of hydrogen.
"To achieve Australia's ambition of becoming an export hub in renewable and low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia, hydrogen companies need to operate with the confidence that their infrastructure is safe and effective. They also need to demonstrate this to investors and off-takers which DNV is working with all over the world, including many in the APAC region. Hydrogen is a key pillar of the energy transition and the AHC provides the platform to help develop partnerships to realize these goals," said Graham Slack, Market Area Manager – Australia, Energy Systems, DNV.
DNV will be represented at the AHC by Dr. Thomas Koller, DNV's Senior Hydrogen Consultant, who will be participating in the AHC's Policy Advisory Committee. He will be supported by Mr. Scott Trevean, another senior member of the Hydrogen team, who will be involved in the Technical and Infrastructure committees. Other areas in which DNV will provide expertise include hydrogen certification, energy market reform, technical and regulatory hydrogen safety matters, including infrastructure to support the production, transport, dispensing, usage and export of hydrogen.
