DNV GL announces the acquisition of ISC (International Standards Certifications)
HØVIK, 16 FEBRUARY, 2015: DNV GL is pleased to announce the acquisition of ISC, an international certification body, with a particular presence in Australia and Asia.
“Through this acquisition, DNV GL increases its footprint and scale, especially in Australia and Japan. We also broaden our expertise within human services, healthcare and disability sectors, a key strategic industry for us. We already have a strong position in the US healthcare accreditation market and continue to grow our business with healthcare providers in Europe and parts of Asia,” says Luca Crisciotti, CEO DNV GL - Business Assurance. “Through this acquisition, we will be able to offer a broader portfolio of certification services to our customers.”
ISC (International Standards Certifications) is a full-service international certification and training body accredited by JAS-ANZ (Joint Accreditation System – Australia New Zealand) and Exemplar Global as a certified training organisation. It provides extensive certification and training services for products and systems across key industry sectors, including healthcare and food & beverage. ISC certifies small through to large organisations, businesses, hospitals and government departments to both National and International standards, across a wide array of management systems and product certifications.
“For the DNV GL Group, the acquisition of ISC confirms our strong commitment to grow within the Assurance sector and in particular in management systems & product certification sector, strengthening our brand and positioning. It also underscores our strong commitment to grow our presence in key industries such as the healthcare industry,” says Renato Grottola, Chief Strategy and M&A Officer, DNV GL.
Tony Wilde, the Group Chairman and owner of ISC says: “We were particularly keen to ensure that ISC went to a good home with a strong commitment to ethical business practices, to its employees, its audit teams and its customers and we are certain DNV GL is just such an organization.”
“We are truly delighted to continue with DNV GL and now being backed by one of the world’s largest certification and verification organizations,” says Ross Wraight, ISC’s CEO. “Our clients can continue to expect the best quality of service, and will benefit from the broader range of capabilities that we will be able to offer as part of an international network.”
