DNV Awarded Tri Marine with BRCGS Agents and Brokers Certification at Global Seafood Expo
DNV Awards Tri Marine BRCGS Certificate at Seafood Expo Barcelona. Certification validated compliance with industry standards to food safety standards and supply chain excellence
BARCELONA (APRIL 23, 2024) – DNV, a leading global certification body, certified the Tri Marine Group to the food safety standard BRCGS Agents and Brokers Certification. The certification included alignment with ISO 22005:2007 Supply Chain Traceability and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.
Stefano Crea, Market & Industries Director at DNV, presented the certificate to Michele Rota, Chief Quality Officer for Bolton Food and Tri Marine at the Barcelona Seafood Expo at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. The certificate ceremony took place at 3:30 p.m., April 23rd, at Hall 2, at DNV’s booth #2B104.
Preceding the ceremony was a session with Luciano Pirovano, Chief Sustainability Officer for Bolton Food and Tri Marine and Alf-Gøran Knutsen, CEO at Kvarøy Arctic AS. Together with Stefano Crea, they delved into their companies’ biggest risks and how they approach sustainability. Topics of discussion ranged from environmental aspects to people, the companies shared how and why this is at the forefront to meet customer, consumer, and societal demands for sustainable seafood.
“Tri Marine’s certification shows a strong commitment to food safety and sustainability throughout their supply chain including an area often less in focus, the logistics link,” said Crea.
