DNV and Trainor join forces to provide cutting-edge e-Learning in the Hazardous Area domain
DNV and Trainor have announced a collaboration in the Hazardous Area training domain, making use of cutting-edge e-Learning developed by Trainor.
The e-Learning, which is endorsed by DNV’s Hazardous Area technical center of excellence, will be made available to DNV customers worldwide through DNV’s extensive training catalogue. In addition, Trainor’s customers will receive a DNV diploma upon completion of the training, recognizing the high quality of the training content and learning system.
The training covers a wide range of safety-critical topics for people who work in Hazardous Areas or use specific equipment related to it. These are areas considered hazardous due to the presence of a potentially explosive mix of flammable gas or dusts which can cause fire or explosion in industrial facilities. Commonly these areas exist in Oil & Gas production and processing facilities, but also in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Agricultural and Food & Beverage industries.
Safe design, installation, operation and maintenance of equipment for use in these areas is critical to increasing the safety of industrial workplaces and the prevention of loss or harm to property and the environment.
DNV is a leading provider of third-party Product Assurance including a Notified and Accredited Certification Body for safety and performance certification of Hazardous Areas (ATEX, IECEx, UKCA and INMETRO) equipment and protective systems. Whether certifying products, sharing claims or optimizing and decarbonizing supply chains, DNV helps companies manage risks and realize their long-term strategic goals, improving ESG performance and generating lasting, sustainable results.
