HHI Group and DNV GL present green tankers of the future

DNV GL, the world’s leading classification society, and HHI Group, the world’s largest shipyard, have teamed up to embark on the development of future-proof tanker designs. In a recent "Green Tankers towards 2050" industry webinar, attended by more than 250 participants from shipping companies around the world, DNV GL and HHI Group presented the results of new joint research and explained how eco-friendly maritime solutions can help shipowners and managers to cope with stricter environmental regulations now and in the future.

BHP selects DNV GL as Verification Body and Classification Society for Trion FPU

DNV GL will verify that the new infrastructure built for the BHP Trion project is compliant with local and global safety, as well as other requirements. The Verification Body and Classification contract specifies DNV GL, the leading independent expert in risk management and quality assurance, to participate in design review activities and site surveillance during construction, commissioning, and installation of the floating production unit (FPU).

East Coast Australia JIP delivers a new interactive dashboard for LNG forecast

A comprehensive and interactive dashboard that predicts LNG demand and enables scenario modelling in Australia was developed as a result of the East Coast Australia LNG Joint Industry Project (EC JIP). Facilitated by leading classification society DNV GL, project partners included oil & gas suppliers, LNG infrastructure consultants, ship owners and operators, charterers, industry associations, governmental agencies and regulators. The EC JIP was recently concluded in October and the dashboard will be made available to the public via subscription soon.
