East Coast Australia JIP delivers a new interactive dashboard for LNG forecast

A comprehensive and interactive dashboard that predicts LNG demand and enables scenario modelling in Australia was developed as a result of the East Coast Australia LNG Joint Industry Project (EC JIP). Facilitated by leading classification society DNV GL, project partners included oil & gas suppliers, LNG infrastructure consultants, ship owners and operators, charterers, industry associations, governmental agencies and regulators. The EC JIP was recently concluded in October and the dashboard will be made available to the public via subscription soon.

New GHG regulations for ships approved during IMO MEPC 75 meeting

The 75th session of the IMO’s Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC 75) was held remotely with a limited agenda from 16 to 20 November 2020. MEPC 75 approved amendments to MARPOL Annex VI, with new requirements addressing GHG emissions, expected to enter into force on 1 January 2023 pending adoption at MEPC 76 in June 2021.
