Frank HartPrincipal Mathematical Modeller, Digital Solutions at DNV  

Frank Hart is currently a mathematical modeller at DNV. Having completed a postdoctoral position in physics at the University of Bath in the early 2000s, Frank moved into a software development position with Tessella (now part of CapGemini) developing technical software solutions to clients in science and engineering. Frank then moved to Risktec Solutions, providing quantitative analysis and modelling to support projects primarily in the oil & gas sector, and also in rail, nuclear and renewables. Since joining DNV in 2019, he has been working mainly on the development of the dispersion model (UDM) and its validation, resulting in several co-authored papers at major international conferences

Paturi Syam Kumar, Manager - Process Safety, Chola MS Risk Services, Chennai  
A Chemical Engineering professional with a Master’s degree from NIT Trichy and a Bachelor’s degree from GVPCE (A) - Vizag, bringing over five (05) years of expertise in Process Safety Engineering from Chola MS Risk Services Limited, Chennai. Experienced in conducting Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment (FERA), Building Risk Assessment (BRA), Fire & Gas Mapping (F&G), Flare Radiation & Dispersion Analysis, HAZOP, What-if, HAZID, SIL Assessment, PHSER, and SIMOPs. Proficient in using industry-leading safety analysis tools such as PHAST & SAFETI, Detect 3D, PHA Pro, and PHA Works. Strong background in risk assessment, safety audits, regulatory compliance, and competency-building training programs. Currently working as a Manager – Process Safety, Chola MS Risk Services Limited, Chennai, with a focus on enhancing safety management systems, hazard identification, and operational risk mitigation strategies. Passionate about driving process safety excellence and ensuring high standards of workplace safety.

Irshad Ahmad, Assistant General Manager, Process Safety dept., Engineers India Limited, New Delhi
Mr. Irshad Ahmad is B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India and presently working as Assistant General Manager in Process Safety Dept. of Engineers India Limited, Gurugram, Haryana, India. He has more than 15 years of experience in various Loss Prevention Studies e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, SIL Classification, Quantitative Risk Assessment, Dispersion Analysis, SIMOPs Study etc. including participation in Prestart up Safety Review of many projects. He has also more than 7 years of experience in carrying out Process Design, Startup and Commissioning of gas & liquid hydrocarbon Pipelines, Compressor and pumping stations for various Domestic and International Clients. He is a certified Exida Functional Safety Practitioner.

John Eapen, Head of Section Risk Management Advisory & Technical Advisory, India
John Eapen is the Head of Section for Risk Management Advisory and Technical Advisory at DNV in India. With extensive experience in risk management across various industries, he provides strategic guidance to enhance operational safety and efficiency. As a speaker, John offers valuable insights into the evolving landscape of risk assessment and management.

Emmanuel Ayo ShogelolaSenior Engineer, Digital Solutions at DNV
Emmanuel is an experienced Senior Engineer at DNV with 10+ years of experience in risk management and software development for the chemical industry. He provides technical support for engineering software such as Phast and Safeti. His responsibilities include training customers, participating in seminars and conferences, and supporting consulting projects with the risk and safety advisory team. Emmanuel's responsibilities encompass understanding software functionality, addressing technical issues, and clarifying results for consulting projects.
