One Ocean Week 2025

The One Ocean Week in Bergen is an arena for debates and exchange of knowledge and experiences connected to the sustainable use of the ocean. Through a week of different talks, panels, conferences and cultural events the aim is to highlight the solutions we need from a global perspective.

DNV will be present at several events throughout the week of the upcoming One Ocean Week in Bergen, Norway, taking place from Saturday April 5 – with teams from our Maritime, Supply Chain and Product Assurance (SCPA) and Group Research and Development (GRD) business areas.

Familiedagene – Saturday April 5 to Sunday April 6
DNV will be present at our stand at “ Familiedagene ” during the weekend at Festningskaien on the Bergen waterfront from 12.00-16.00. Drop by to experience the maritime world and to learn more about DNV and our different operations. This is fully open to the public and we look forward to seeing you and your family there!

One Ocean Conference – Tuesday April 8
For this year’s conference the aim is to discuss how we can strengthen our maritime economy through sustainable use of oceanic resources. Central themes will be investments in maritime economy, in addition to updates on the latest innovations and competencies present in the Western region of Norway.

Don’t miss Elisabeth Drægebø, Head of Section Business Development, Region North Europe, on stage from 10.00 to 12.00 speaking about the stagnant tempo in green transitions in maritime industries and what measures that need to be implemented by industry leaders in the field to ensure future sustainable growth. The conference will take place at Grieghallen from 10.00-16.00 – and is open for registration here.

Harmony in the North Sea? Growth, safeguarding and transition in Europe’s busiest sea basin – Wednesday April 9
DNV SCPA and GRD will launch the North Sea Forecast report at the event “Harmoni i Nordsjøen? Vekst, vern og omstilling i Europas travleste havområde” - offering crucial insights into the management of Europe's busiest sea basin towards 2050. This comprehensive publication will explore several key areas, including strategies for Norway to strengthen its global aquaculture leadership, facilitate cross-sectoral collaboration, and enhance coexistence and spatial planning among diverse maritime industries. Furthermore, it addresses pressing issues such as energy security, sustainability, marine protected areas, and other vital concerns essential for the future of the North Sea’s wealth and health.
