DNV-SE-0617 Qualification management for geological storage of CO2

This service specification (SE) provides a framework for the certification of geological storage sites for carbon dioxide (CO₂).

This certification framework is supported by DNV-RP-J203 for the selection, qualification and management of CO₂ geological storage sites.

A key intent of DNV-RP-J203 is to harmonize implementation of CO₂ storage in compliance with regulations, international standards and directives while avoiding documentation and reporting requirements that may incur project delays and additional expense.

While DNV-RP-J203 provides a description of the process applicable to the selection qualification and management of storage sites, this document describes DNV’s services based on that process.
