Long distance
Smart Cable Guard is able to monitor long distances of different types and ages of cables, including switchgear and substations with one single unit. Up to 15 kilometres (10 miles) of XLPE cable and 6 kilometres (4 miles) of PLIC cable can be monitored with low noise.
Accurate pinpointing
Weak spots and faults in cables can be pinpointed with an accuracy of less then 1 percent of the length of the circuit. We can do even better: actually we reach an accuracy of 0.3 percent of the length of the circuit.
