About the customer

DNV is contracted by two local Community Choice Aggregators (CCAs), Peninsula Clean Energy and Silicon Valley Clean Energy, to assist jurisdictions throughout San Mateo and Santa Clara counties in California to adopt new construction reach codes targeting increased adoption of all-electric buildings and EVs. The reach codes are expected to be adopted January 1, 2020.

DNV’s solution

DNV managed community outreach, hosting twelve stakeholder and community workshops on the topic to share information about the process and gain stakeholder input.

Benefits to the customer

This led to rapid adoption of reach codes within San Mateo and Santa Clara counties which allow for future reduction of greenhouse gas emissions both in the transportation and building sectors.
