What is ISCC
ISCC focuses on greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions throughout value chains, sustainable land use, protection of natural habitats and social sustainability for feedstock production as well as circular materials. Based on the EU REDII Directive, ISCC requires different GHG savings targets based on the start date of biofuel/ bioliquid/ biomass fuel operations. In addition, feedstock production (plantations) need to comply with 6 principles and the circular material must comply with the definition of residues or waste. The ISCC audit for raw material from agriculture will address the following topics:- Protection of Land with High Biodiversity Value or High Carbon Stock.
