Why should I choose DNV to be my Recognised Security Organisation (RSO)?

ISPS services are, as a main rule, delivered through our local survey stations situated in more than 100 countries. This means that more than 250 ISPS-qualified security surveyors are available to you - worldwide.

DNV is authorised by all major Flag Administrations that have decided to delegate some of their ISPS responsibilities to Recognised Security Organisations (RSOs). Scope of certification may vary from full authorisation to shipboard verification only. See RSO authorisation table for further details.

Security issues have been part of DNV’s general work scope for many years, and when the ISPS Code was developed and adopted in 2002, DNV’s efforts were focused on this initiative.

DNV is acting RSO for more than 3000 ships of various types and flags.

If DNV is also handling the ship’s International Safety Management certification, combined ISPS/ISM audits may be done to save time and money.
